The Army Museum Society (SAMA), non-profit-making association, state-approved is commissioned to expand the knowledge of the Army Museum, to take part in its development, and to contribute to its influence in France and beyond its borders. It takes part in the Museum life, and the enrichment of its collections, it organizes activities for its members on a regular basis, activities such as lectures and guided tours. It publishes a prestigious biannual review crowned by the French Academy.

The bequest and the restoration of this piece in 2002 is one of the examples of the SAMA regular actions, to the benefit of the Army Museum collections enrichment. This piece has been on display in the Museum rooms ever since September 2004.

- trading any kind of documents or information regarding the respective museums - hosting in our museum groups of members for guided tours - concerning possibly a grouped application to the respective museums societies. The advantages of the SAMA card, valid from January 1st to December 31st :
