Shootings
The richness of the museum collections, the prestigious architecture of the Hôtel des Invalides and the history of which it is the witness, make it an amazing setting and an important information source for the shooting of documentaries and reports.
The Dome Church (Tomb of Napoléon the 1st) and the Soldiers Church being the Army Museum Responsibility, every single demand concerning those places must also be addressed to the Museum.
 
Procedure
The direction request for shootings must be addressed beforehand, by mail or fax.
It must include the following :
 
* Shooting subjects (purpose explanation, even a synopsis) and destination (Movie, TV... )
* Shooting locations - museum rooms, churches, outdoors … and the shooting sequences that will be done
* Names of possible museum contributor (Interview)
* Shooting dates (including setting and dismantling)
* Places occupation duration
* Number and names of people present
* Technical appliances used
* Vehicles and licence plates, in case one wishes to park inside the Hôtel des Invalides
The shootings are only during the opening hours of the Hôtel to the public.

Time limit
Given the restraints due to the museum running and the Invalides location, as well as the daily numerous visitors, a minimum of 7 days is required to make sure the shootings will not be of any nuisance; A minimum of 1 month is required for more important shootings.
 
Fees
If the conditions are accepted by the institution, a shooting authorization will be granted, in return for the payment of a licence fee on the very first day of shooting. The amount of this fee is set every year by the institution Administration Council.
For the shootings taking place exceptionally outside the opening hours, an extra fee will be charged, for the site security expenses.
